BridgeWood Alternatives held our inaugural LP only event on November 9th at the American Club in Hong Kong. The evening featured a fireside chat with Henry Chau, Head of Investments for the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
Over 40 investors joined us, ranging from single and multi-family offices, foundations, pensions, corporates, consultants/OCIOs, asset management firms, and private banks. This event officially kicked off BridgeWood’s peer-to-peer initiative, providing a forum for investors and thought leaders to meet, reconnect, and share ideas over cocktails and canapés (and the occasional carving station) in a relaxed and “sales-free” environment.
The fireside chat featured Henry's views on China (which were positive), private credit (which were mixed), how the Jockey Club has navigated the recent challenging investment environment, private versus public market investments, attributes he looks for (and avoids) in manager selection, ESG, and more.
