On October 23rd, BridgeWood Alternatives hosted our latest Autumn Cocktails & Investor Insights evening at Top Town, Hong Kong, bringing together over 80 institutional investors, family offices, and peers for an engaging exchange of perspectives and connections.

The highlight of the evening was a fireside chat with Joe Simpson, Partner & Portfolio Manager at Gresham Partners, a leading $11 billion multi-family office based in Chicago. With over two decades at Gresham, Joe oversees the firm’s public markets investments, manager selection, and portfolio construction.

In conversation with Bobby Wood, Founder of BridgeWood Alternatives, Joe shared his perspectives on the global investment landscape — from navigating today’s uncertain markets and identifying underappreciated risks, to how AI and data science are reshaping manager evaluation.
