Robert Wood, CAIA

Robert has over 22 years of alternative investment experience working in New York and Hong Kong. He has spent over a decade in Asia as the Head of Business Development for several alternative investment funds, gaining a deep understanding of the region’s capital markets as well as investors’ interests and challenges when investing in Asia. Prior to starting BridgeWood, Robert was the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Business Development at Factorial Management Limited, a multi-strategy hedge fund.


Robert was based in New York with the UBS Alternative Investment Group from 2000 to 2005, where he was a Regional Manager and Head of the National Internal Sales Division, promoting the firm’s public and private alternative investment products to its financial advisors. In 2005, Robert moved to UBP Asset Management, where he built and led the global distribution sales team for the New York office.


He earned a B.A. in Education from Wake Forest University and was a four-year letterman on the varsity baseball team. He holds the designation of Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and earned a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute.


Robert is also a registered representative offering securities and investment banking services in North America through Britehorn Securities, a registered broker-dealer (member FINRA/SIPC).


He resides in Hong Kong and enjoys hiking, travelling, and is an avid Boston sports fan.
